A recently surfaced online video showcases veteran Nollywood actor Adewale Alebiosu leveling accusations against some fellow industry colleagues, including Jaiye Kuti and Odunlade Adekola, alleging that they have exploited him.
During an interview, Adewale Alebiosu, renowned for his portrayal of a traditional healer in movies, recounted an unfortunate incident. He disclosed that he was once remunerated with a paltry sum of 3,000 naira for his involvement in 11 scenes of a film.
In the emotionally charged video, the actor conveyed his profound disillusionment upon receiving such an outrageously low payment for his arduous efforts and unwavering commitment, despite appearing in the movie a total of 11 times.
Adewale Alebiosu shared a poignant account of an incident that occurred just days before Christmas, a time when he had anticipated receiving a substantial payment for his movie role to support his family. Unfortunately, the actual outcome was far from what he had hoped for.
Upon receiving the meager sum of 3,000 naira as payment, the actor recounted how he boarded a bus with the money and wept uncontrollably until he reached his home.
These revelations emerge in the wake of actress Jaiye Kuti’s critique of senior Nollywood colleagues who seek assistance through social media channels.
